Renault Certificate of Conformity: What is it?

Issued only by the Renault France approval service, the Renault European certificate of conformity or COC Renault is an official certificate of conformity proving that the vehicle manufactured and placed on the European market complies with European regulations and can be registered in all European countries. . In addition, it allows the prefecture and car registration service to validate a car registration application and issue the registration certificate for an imported or exported Renault car. The certificate of conformity is therefore essential and to be able to register any imported vehicle in the SIV system in France.

Free Renault Certificate of Conformity: Is it possible?

The Renault European certificate of conformity is always issued on leaving the factory with the vehicle. The Renault dealer must therefore, if the vehicle is new, issue you the COC certificate of conformity free of charge.

For a used vehicle, the certificate of conformity must be requested from the Renault France approval department via the COC Europe site. A duplicate of the COC must be ordered and there is a charge. Renault certificate of conformity for a non-European car

The certificate of conformity for a car manufactured for the European market allows you to immediately register your vehicle and obtain the gray card. Indeed, the certificate of conformity is therefore complete and compliant.

For other vehicles not manufactured for the EU market, the document that will be issued is a certificate of non-compliance or a certificate of partial compliance. The latter does not allow you to immediately obtain the gray card. A passage to the Dreal is mandatory to validate the conformity of the vehicle and obtain an RTI. The RTI is therefore a complete certificate of compliance.

There reception on an isolated basis (RTI) is a certification procedure reserved for non-compliant vehicles, i.e. those with either a partial certificate of compliance or a certificate of non-compliance, whether new or used.
